Details

Synopsis Hugh Clarke comes from a distinguished New England family; his father Eaton is about to publish a book that traces the family's root back to the Mayflower. The family's sense of self is thrown into chaos when Hugh's wife Dana gives birth to a daughter with obvious African-American features. Though Hugh professes liberal minority-friendly politics, he demands that Dana investigate her ancestry, a demand she sorely resents.
