Hillsong's eighteenth collection of live praise & worship songs doesn't deviate from the grandiose theatricality that has made the Australian Pentecostals one of the most successful recording outfits in the whole CCM genre, but it's as solid and reliable a collection of modern rock-infused spirituals as anything the collective has put out in the past. The 13 songs that make up FAITH + HOPE + LOVE: LIVE run the gamut from rousing ("For Your Name") to plaintive "Yahweh," all with the same heavily orchestrated panache, resulting in a collection of semi-futuristic gospel music that brings to mind Mannheim Steamroller or the Trans-Siberian Orchestra.
