Movie Description Two con men trick the gullible emperor into buying an imaginary suit of clothes. They tell the emperor that only the "wise and worthy" can see the expensive "garments."
Synopsis This entry in Shelley Duvall's "Faerie Tale Theatre" series tells the classic story of an Emperor who cares more about his wardrobe than his kingdom. Into his life step two con artists determined to teach him a lesson he'll never forget. Pretending to be the best tailors in all the land, the pair tell the Emperor they've come up with clothes so wondrous that their fabric is invisible to anybody unfit to be a ruler. When he hears this, of course, the Emperor decides he must have it -- and he's willing to pay any price...
