The formal full-length debut of influential East Coast producer Ron Browz, ETHERBOY harks back to the day when big name producers could, with the help of a rolodex full of famous names and some well- applied instrumental fire power, make coherent, full-length albums capable of changing the hip-hop landscape. That's not to say that ETHERBOY (which takes its name from the STILLMATIC track that jump-started Browz's career back in 2001) is another CHRONIC in the making, but it is an eminently satisfying, sonically consistent record from one of the finest New York-based producers of the `00s.
