Condition: Very Good Seller's Comments: Book is in very good shape. There are a couple of pen marks but no highlighting. Small water stain on side of book. Does not bother reading material. Cover is in good condition with a small fold on back. Gently read. Emma Woodhouse, clever & rich, with a comfortable home & happy disposition thinks a little too highly of herself & entertains herself by meddling in the affairs of others. The results are not always to her liking. (cont. in Description)
Full Description: Emma is perhaps Jane Austen's most accomplished novel. In describing the mischievous schemes & eventual humbling of Miss Woodhouse, the author loses no opportunity to poke ironic fun at the society & social mores of the day. |
