No beating around the bush here, no provocative side roads taken; these selections are quite simply the very best known, most familiar and famous bits of baroque music in existence, with lots of Bach, Handel, and Vivaldi, (not to mention the entire Albinoni Adagio) to go with Pachelbel. Some of the tunes are even identified by their television aliases, such as the Theme from "Firing Line" (Allegro assai from Bach's 'Brandenburg Concerto' No. 2) or the Theme from MASTERPIECE THEATER (Mouret's Rondo.) The 16 selections are performed by a wide variety of past and present RCA artists, including flutist James Galway, organist Virgil Fox, and legendary maestro Leopold Stokowski.
