George Clooney leads an impressive cast--including Julianna Margulies, Laura Innes, Anthony Edwards, and Eriq La Salle--in this fifth season of drama from the Emergency Room at Chicago's County General Hospital. As the ER workers tend to the needy, their personal lives are in the usual state of turmoil as a young medical student woos Dr. Carter (Noah Wyle), Dr. Ross (Clooney) bids an emotional farewell to the unit, and Dr. Green (Edwards) endures some worrying problems at home. It all makes for some gripping television, and ER continues to garner an impressively large fanbase who will doubtless be delighted with this complete collection of episodes from the fifth season of the show.
