Industry Reviews "...Unabashedly inspirational....[With] calm, stately performances of Mary Alice and Mr. Freeman. These two fine actors lend their roles a gravity, balance and underlying sense of sorrow..." New York Times - Stephen Holden (12/25/1998)
"...Unflinchingly, DOWN IN THE DELTA goes straight to the heart....The film, appropriately traditional in style itself, comes full circle in a rich, substantial way that is all the more gratifying..." Los Angeles Times - Kevin Thomas (12/25/1998)
