Synopsis As this picture book begins, a bus driver is just about to leave for his break, but before he does he asks readers to keep a nearby pigeon from driving off with his vehicle. Easy enough one would think, but this persistent pigeon is not above begging, offering bribes, or even throwing a tantrum to make his dream of driving a bus come true. Color illustrations accompany the text. A 2004 Caldecott Honor book.
