Album Notes ZZ Top: Billy Gibbons (vocals, guitar, baritone saxophone); Dusty Hill (vocals, tenor saxophone, bass); Frank Beard (alto saxophone, drums, percussion). ZZ Top took an extended break from the tour trail and the recording studio after wrapping up the tour for its 1976 album, TEJAS. DEGUELLO (Spanish for 'beheading') was issued three years later, and continued the Texas trio's winning streak. Most ZZ Top fans consider DEGUELLO to be the last link to the band's characteristic early blues-rock; it moved to a more accessible sound with its '80s releases EL LOCO, ELIMINATOR, and AFTERBURNER. Ending the '70s on a high note for the band, DEGUELLO includes a pair of the group's biggest classic rock staples--the funky "Cheap Sunglasses," and the anthemic "I'm Bad, I'm Nationwide." d
