Movie Description This double feature of sensationalistic, entertaining Hollywood dirt brings together two full-length documentaries: DEATH IN HOLLYWOOD and WHEN THE APPLAUSE DIED. The first is an "uncensored" look at the bizarre and shocking deaths--by suicide, drugs, drink, disease, and homicide--of some of Tinseltown's brightest stars, featuring newsreel footage and newly discovered evidence. The second is an examination of the sordid details of Hollywood lives gone wrong. Despite possessing fame, wealth, and beauty, many celebrities lead notoriously unhappy lives, falling prey to drugs or alcohol and destroying their seemingly perfect existences. This documentary uses exclusive footage and new, revealing information to peek into the private lives of stars like Spencer Tracy, Errol Flynn, and William Holden, among many others.
