Synopsis
When David gets in trouble, he has excuses right up until bedtime, when he realizes he really is sorry., Whenever David gets into trouble he has an excuse for his behavior such as "It's not my fault," "I didn't mean to," and even (after eating a dog biscuit) "I was hungry." Eventually David takes responsibility for his actions, offers an apology, and is rewarded with a loving hug from his mother. Color illustrations accompany the text.
