Publisher's Notes
First Line: "Philip Marsham was bred to the sea as far back as the days when he was cutting his milk teeth, and he never thought he should leave it; but leave it he did, once and again, as I shall tell you."
Industry Reviews "It would be easy to call 'The Dark Frigate' a rousing sea adventure; a tale of pirates, of derring-do....But the book is more exciting than that, richer and more complex." catalog copy - Lloyd Alexander
