This educational animated program explores the fascinating life of Daniel Boone, one of the world's best-known explorers. Richard Crenna (THE SAND PEBBLES) provides the voice of Boone, whose career as a trailblazer and hunter began at an early age. Born in the 1730s to an Englishman who came to America two decades before, Boone, a true adventurer, was given his first rifle at the age of 12. He went on to become a key player in the settlement of Kentucky. where, hired to negotiate for the land with the Indians, he found himself in several difficult situations, including capture by the Shawnee tribe and the death of his son. DANIEL BOONE explores the way in which this iconic figure helped to shape American history.
