Synopsis In this story set in Pennsylvania just after World War II has ended, a nine-year-old girl named Liz must readjust to life with her father when he returns to the family after serving in the military. Liz is nervous about spending time with her dad who has been away for so long that she barely remembers him. Can Liz find a way to get to know, and maybe even love, this stranger she calls "Dad"?, Nine-year-old Liz accompanies the stranger who is her father, just returned from the war, when he goes hunting for crows in Pennsylvania farmland.
