This Harvey Danger EP, released on Kill Rock Stars, contains four tracks, one of which is a live cut. Although Harvey Danger take cues from the post-grunge and pop-punk movements, their true charm resides in their catchy, playful songsmithery. CREAM AND BASTARDS RISE does not disappoint on that count, and while the EP is not an essential purchase, it will help hardcore fans get a Danger fix while they await the band's next full-length.
