Synopsis
This is the screenplay adapted from the J. G. Ballard novel of the same title. The film stars James Spader, Holly Hunter, Elias Koteas, Deborah Unger, and Rosanna Arquette. Advertising executive James Ballard and his wife, Catherine, lead complex, if hollow sexual lives. Following a near-fatal car crash with Dr. Helen Remington, Ballard is drawn into an exploration of the connections between danger, sex, and death. As their involvement with scientist/photographer Vaughan and accident victim Gabrielle deepens, Ballard and Catherine discover new and disturbing ways to find love.

Industry Reviews
"'The Crash' script is brilliant. It's even more frightening than the book."
Publisher's Catalog - J. G. Ballard

"'Crash' is a dangerous film in many ways. Everyone involved in the film is both afraid and excited by the challenge of exploring society's fascination and our personal fascination with technology and sexuality,"
