Movie Description
Regina Taylor plays the only African-American in a small Iowa town as the depression begins to impact the farming community. A housekeeper, the town's lone African-American faces great opposition and hatred. She must find the strength to stand up to the racist society of the times and keep her spirit alive. Taylor gives a powerful performance in this Masterpiece Theater presentation based on a Langston Hughes work.
