With 2007's CONVICTON, the Seattle-based goth-punk act Aiden offers up another moody set of songs for the Victory label. This time around, however, the dark-clad band, led by brooding singer Wil Francis, tones down its abrasive side, opting for a more accessible sound that reveals a considerable Cure influence, particularly on the melancholy and melodic "One Love."
