Album Notes
Blues legend Robert Johnson presents THE COMPLETE COLLECTION featuring 29 tracks including "Ramblin' On My Mind" and "Love In Vain."
Collecting the complete works of the legendary 1930s bluesman Robert Johnson, this anthology includes such classics as "Love in Vain," "Hell Hound on My Trail," "From Four Until Late," and "Dust My Broom." Johnson's unique, haunted voice dips from eerie wails to menacing, guttural tones within the space of a few lines, while his deft, virtuoso guitar playing provides both an integral framework and musical commentary throughout. Many of these songs became staples of the British and U.S. blues revivals of the 1960s, providing material for rock bands from the Rolling Stones to the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
