Movie Description
The trenches of World War II form the basis for this action packed drama which debuted on American television in the early 1960s. Vic Morrow (as Sgt. Chip Saunders) and Rick Jason (as Lt. Gil Hanley) starred throughout the show, alongside a variety of guest stars (Tom Skerritt, Tab Hunter, and Harry Dean Stanton among many others in Season 1), and revered directors (Robert Altman, Burt Kennedy). The theme behind the show was one of companionship against seemingly insurmountable odds, with weekly episodes confronting the brutality of war, and the coping strategies needed to get through it. This release features the first 16 episodes, including "A Day In June," "Any Second Now," "Just For The Record," "The Squad," "Lost Sheep, Lost Shepherd," "Forgotten Front," "Missing In Action," "Rear Echelon Commandos," "The Chateau," "The Prisoner," "Escape To Nowhere," "The Celebrity," "Far From The Brave," "The Quiet Warrior," "Cat and Mouse," and "Reunion."
