Movie Description
CIVIL BRAND, directed by Neema Barnette, is a tough story of one woman's struggle to rebel against an unfair system of justice. Imprisoned for murdering her abusive husband, Frances Shepherd (LisaRaye) rounds up her fellow female inmates and organizes an uprising against the terrible conditions, slavish labor, and unfair treatment that they receive in jail.
