Movie Description Jeannette MacDonald plays Marcia Warren, a star touring Africa during World War II to raise the morale of Allied troops with her singing. Robert Young plays Homer Smith, an American journalist stranded on a raft with Philo Cobson (Reginald Owen) after their ship is sunk by the Nazis. Before splitting paths in the North African desert, Cobson reveals that he is a British spy, and he must carry his secret information to a Mrs. Morrison in Cairo.
Smith finds both Morrison and Warren in Cairo and quickly falls for Warren--until Morrison lets him know that Warren is a secret agent for the Nazis. But is she? Or are Morrison and Cobson the real enemy? Can Young figure it out before he loses his life? And does it matter with MacDonald's voice carrying the film anyway? This tongue-in-cheek spy musical will be enjoyed by fans of MacDonald.
