Though there are no personnel credits to alert the listener to it, the CACHE COEUR NAIF EP is different from the rest of Mouse on Mars's catalog, due to the presence of Stereolab members. The most striking difference is Leatitia Sadler's silky vocals, which add a lounge-y pop feel to the proceedings. Stereolab's trademark bubbling keyboards mesh perfectly with the more straight-laced, electronica-derived synth rhythms of Mouse on Mars. The result is four songs that blend bright, fluffy pop with metronomically precise electronic music. Fans of Stereolab will enjoy CACHE COEUR NAIF equally as much as longtime followers of Mouse on Mars.
