Movie Description
Throughout his tour of duty with the U.S. Navy, serviceman Bus Riley (Parks) keeps his spirits high by dreaming about reuniting with his beautiful girlfriend Laurel (Ann-Margret.) His designs crumble when, upon returning to his Midwestern hometown, he finds Laurel married to a wealthy older man. Freed from the strict regiments of the military but trapped by the mundanity of life in a small town with few prospects, Bus must struggle to readjust to civilian life.
