Movie Description Something of a lull in the Broadway Melody series, but salvaged by Benchley and a young Garland singing "Dear Mr. Gable." The plot revolves around a standard-issue struggling Broadway show, the opening of which is threatened by financial troubles. Luckily, one of the hoofers just happens to own a race horse and if it can be coaxed into winning at Saratoga, there might be enough cash to mount the production.
Synopsis A youthful Judy Garland in her MGM musical debut, joins Eleanor Powell, Robert Taylor and Buddy Ebsen in a reprise of "Broadway Melody of 1936." The plot revolves around the staging of a Broadway show, the opening of which is threatened by financial troubles.
