Movie Description
This striking mini-series exposes a tentative time in the Catholic Church -- the reformation and relaxation of many church practices that occurred in the 1960s. Set in an Australian convent and religious school, BRIDES OF CHRIST follows several nuns and schoolgirls as they wrestle with their beliefs about religion and the Catholic Church -- ranging from changes in the nuns' dress code to divorce and abortion.
