Movie Description Darryl (Damon Wayons) is a geeky inventor with a superhero fixation who lives with his grandmother. When his encouraging grandmother is shot by a mob boss who is trying to sway a mayoral election, Darryl decides to do something about crime in his fictional city of Metro, Illinois--so he dons special underwear and his grandmother's housecoat and turns himself into a superhero--sort of. He has no name and no special powers, but he's all for truth, justice and the American way!
Synopsis In a world where crime is rampant and the law is null and void, a superhero could sure come in handy. But one's not available so Metro, Illinois will have to settle for Blankman. So what if he has no superpowers? Who cares if he has to use his Granny's housecoat as his cape? Or if his only weapon is an orthopedic shoe that he turns into a deadly boomerang? He's here to combat the seedy underworld kingpin who terrorizes the city -- and he's all they've got.

Industry Reviews "...[Gets] comic mileage from its wonderful gadgets and from [Wayans's] sweetly myopic performance....BLANKMAN plays it light and silly..." Holden
"...This movie has a sweet sense of humor..." Chicago Sun-Times - Lynn Voedisch (08/21/1994)
