The degradation of the grand and proud tradition that is the British monarchy continues as the weaselly Blackadder (Rowan Atkinson) snivels his way into the court of Queen Elizabeth I. More comic adventures from this BBC collection containing three episodes, "Money," "Beer," and "Chains."
Synopsis
This sequel to the first "Black Adder" series take place 100 years later, in the Renaissance, and Edmund Blackadder (or rather his descendant of the same name) is no longer in line to the throne of England. He is a favorite of Queen Elizabeth, who is rather fond of the dashing young lord. She does think of executing him periodically... just to see the look on his face. Well the threat of death does not stop Edmund from trying to circumnavigate the globe (to spite Sir Walter Raleigh), marry a girl named Bob, and execute a couple of Catholics - who are just dying to have their heads cut off.
