Movie Description The degradation of the grand and proud tradition that is the British monarchy continues as the weaselly Blackadder (Rowan Atkinson) snivels his way into the court of Queen Elizabeth I. More comic adventures from this BBC collection containing three episodes, "Bells," "Head," and "Potato."
Synopsis This sequel to the first "Black Adder" series takes place 100 years later, in the Renaissance, and Edmund Blackadder (or rather his descendant of the same name) is no longer in line to the throne of England. He is, however, a favorite of Queen Elizabeth, who is rather fond of the dashing young lord. She does think of executing him periodically... just to see the look on his face. The threat of death does not stop Edmund from trying to circumnavigate the globe (to spite Sir Walter Raleigh), marrying a girl named Bob, and executing a couple of Catholics - who are just dying to have their heads cut off.
Film Notes "Blackadder II" was broadcast in the UK over BBC-1 between January 9 and February 20, 1986.
Each "Blackadder II" cassette contains 3 episodes, at approximately 30 minutes per episode.
Quotations "She's got a tongue like an electric eel, and likes the taste of a man's tonsil." Lord Flashheart (Rik Mayall).
