After racking up platinum-plus sales figures and a Grammy Award with the debut release WORDS, one could assume that a comparable follow-up would be a hard thing to achieve. Not for The Tony Rich Project. BIRDSEYE shows Rich's growth as an artist and composer, highlighting life's shining moments. Not unlike his first album, BIRDSEYE has a diverse make up. From the soulful "If You're An Angel" to the funky "Cool Like That," Rich consistently provides the listener with interesting musical creations, all the while delivering strong, straight-from-the soul vocals. Other notable tracks that show Rich's expansion in his artistry are "Thoughts of Leavin'," "Blue Butterfly" and "Silly Man." Executive producers Antonio Reid and Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds have developed a singer/songwriter/producer that has his brightest days ahead of him.
