Movie Description Sketch-comedy show BIG TRAIN lasted for two seasons and first aired on British television towards the end of 1998. The show is heavily indebted to the quick-fire wit of MONTY PYTHON'S FLYING CIRCUS, and also borrows some surrealist ideas from John Cleese and co. Writers Graham Linehan and Arthur Matthews, who worked on popular shows such as FATHER TED and BLACK BOOKS, contributed ideas to the first season, while comedy luminaries such as Simon Pegg (SHAUN OF THE DEAD), Julia Davis (NIGHTY NIGHT) and Peter Baynham (BORAT) also add some magic.
