Georgia's Norman Bebo is a grass-roots phenomenon in the world of Christian pop. His early work caught the attention of Cliff Young, leader of the successful group Caedmon's Call, who enthusiastically signed the singer-songwriter to his Watershed label. Bebo's debut album made a huge international splash for an indie-label release; its successor BIG BLUE SKY ups the ante in several ways.
The album brings Bebo's blend of pop, folk, rock, and spiritual imagery to an even bigger audience than before; he has expanded the acoustic folk-based sound of his previous album, employing bigger production techniques to underline the pop accessibility inherent in his always-melodic approach to contemporary Christian music. The songs delve even further into spiritual matters than previously. Bebo doesn't pretend to have all the answers when it comes to faith, but as BIG BLUE SKY proves, he knows how to ask the right questions--and get the right musical feel.
