Synopsis The continuing story of Betsy, Tacy, and Tib--three friends growing up in America at the turn of the century. Now almost 10, the girls have just learned that a Queen of Summer is going to be crowned for their neighborhood. In order to gather enough votes to ensure that Tib will be named Queen, the girls venture into an unfamiliar neighborhood--Little Syria, a home to new refugees. Through their adventures, the girls make new friends, and are satisfied when the Queen of Summer is elected fairly. Illustrated with b&w spot drawings.
