Movie Description
Artie DeVanzo (Artie Lange) is a loveable loser whose New Jersey softball team is about to be expelled from the league. One too many on-field fights has alerted the authorities to DeVanzo and his boozy ways, and the team must put a winning streak together to salvage their status. Meanwhile, DeVanzo's off-field life starts to improve after he meets and falls in love with a local girl, who is attracted to him despite the fact that he still lives with his parents and is a hopeless alcoholic. The film builds to an amusing climax as the members of the softball team get their act together and start to rise through the ranks.
