In this uproarious Swiss comedy, poor Jean-Pierre (Jean-Claude Brialy) is about to witness the disintegration of the secret life he has carefully constructed. Jean-Pierre is a professor, sometime writer, and happily married man, and therefore he is the perfect candidate to take in a troubled teen. But when the judges attempt to appoint him the guardian of Antoine (Julien Bravo), all hell breaks loose in Jean-Pierre's private life, which he has been secretly sharing with his loving masseuse, Armando (Antonio Interlandi). Jean-Pierre tries every tactic he can to convince the judges not to go through with their assignment, but this only causes them to look deeper into his life and past. The only thing left to do is contact Alice, the woman he married as a favor years ago, but soon, the poor man, with more than just one skeleton in the closet, is forced to deal with his depressed wife, his hysterical lover, a surprisingly endearing "son," and the authorities hot on his tail.
