Synopsis
The small town of Sugartree, Arkansas is in the grip of racial tensions as a black woman, Amen Tolliver, runs for mayor against well-to-do white incumbent Grady Hunter. Then a racially-motivated murder occurs and threatens to tear the community apart. Sleuthing quilter Benni Harper, an old friend of Amen's, happens to be on hand, and she sets out to solve the murder.
