The L.A. ex-gangsters experiment with a rap-heavy metal hybrid, a genre previously explored by Ice-T with his 1992 Body Count project. In ANGRY SAMOANS, the Boo-Yaa T.R.I.B.E. relate tales of their inescapably violent street experience on cuts like "Buried Alive" and "Kill For the Family," where weighty, brooding rhythms and screaming guitars give the lyrics an appropriately ferocious backdrop.
