Movie Description
Set in 1963 in Washington, D.C., AN AMERICAN AFFAIR begins in the time before John F. Kennedy’s shocking assassination. Blonde bombshell Catherine Caswell (Gretchen Mol, 3:10 TO YUMA) looks just like the President’s type, and the woman is reputed to be more than just a close friend of the world leader. With his growing hormones, Catherine's neighbor, 13-year-old Adam Stafford (Cameron Bright, BIRTH), can’t help but notice her too. Soon his attraction brings him uncomfortably close to the object of his affection, and the unlikely pair bonds just as events are about to reach a fever pitch. This intrigue-filled drama also stars Noah Wyle (ER), Perrey Reeves (ENTOURAGE), and James Rebhorn (THE TALENTED MR. RIPLEY).

Industry Reviews
"AN AMERICAN AFFAIR is fresh, earthy and open....Bright plays Adam not as a tortured adolescent but as an even-tempered boy on whom the world's realities are gradually dawning..."
Washington Post (02/27/2009)
