Recorded at the Magic Shop, New York, New York. Includes liner notes by Jerry Wexler & Bonnie Raitt. ALL MY LIFE marked the beginning of a resurgence for Charles Brown. After being championed by Bonnie Raitt (who brought him out on tour with her in the '90s), Brown was discovered by a new and younger audience. And it's easy to see why--his friendly delivery pulls people in instantly. This set also marked the beginning of his association with the Bullseye Blues label. Produced by Ron Levy, the album is full of arrangements that perfectly frame and support Brown's singing, piano playing, and songs. The album features five of Brown's originals and a well-chosen batch of covers, including the wonderful "Fool's Paradise" and the stirring "When the Sun Comes Out." A consistent artist throughout his long career, Charles Brown produced one of his best with ALL MY LIFE.
