Synopsis Eight-year-old Peter describes the trials and tribulations of being older brother to five-year-old Peter and baby Stephanie. It seems to Peter that whenever he and his siblings get into trouble, he has to take the blame--just because he's the oldest and he should know better. Then on a family trip to the supermarket, Peter tries to prove that he can be a responsible older brother...and that's when the trouble really begins. B&w illustrations accompany the text of this beginning chapter book., John, who finds being the oldest child very difficult, keeps his sister out of mischief and his brother out of his hair on a trip to the supermart.
