On her 2001 Christmas album, beloved jazz/pop vocalist Nancy Wilson settles into a warm, dynamic set of Yuletide classics. Although in her mid 60s at the time of these sessions, Wilson is still in fine voice, whether she's swinging through a spry, big-band take on "Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!" or gliding over the delicate backing of "White Christmas," which features flute player Herbie Mann. In addition to Mann, Wilson gets support from jazz luminaries such as trombonist Slide Hampton and saxophonists James Moody and Jimmy Heath, making this a top-notch holiday outing.
