Album Notes The routines of the anarchic hipster wit and raconteur Lord Buckley, which included hip jargon-inflected riffs on the lives of Albert Einstein (the Hip Einie) and Jesus Christ (the Nazz) were much-quoted favorites of bebop musicians in the 1950s and of the 1960s rock cognoscenti. Five rarely heard samples of the artist's routines, recorded privately in 1956, are collected on this set, including his reworking of Edgar Allen Poe's "The Raven" and his hilarious rundown of the life of the Marquis De Sade.
