Synopsis When a pair of movie producers approached Donald Miller about turning his bestselling memoir BLUE LIKE JAZZ into a film, he was confused but flattered. Unfortunately, after the production process had begun, it became apparent that Miller's life was not quite compelling enough for Hollywood, so the producers began to cinematically enhance his existence with fictionalized aspects. As Miller watched the filmmakers add artificial elements of conflict, triumph, and resolution to his life, he became aware of a great truth-if your life does not make a great story, it probably is not a great life. Feeling fortunate to have his own inadequacy realized before his eyes, Miller revitalized his faith and vowed to make the rest of his time on earth worthy of a blockbuster.
