Synopsis
A bird, a fox, a dog, and a squirrel overcome minor setbacks to have a very good day., This simply worded, beautifully illustrated story about different ways to view experiences is another small masterpiece from award-winning author/illustrator Kevin Henkes. Little yellow bird is sad because he lost a tail feather, while little white dog’s leash is terribly muddled. But soon, for them and two other creatures, things take a turn for the better. Accompanied by watercolor and ink illustrations, this is both a 2007 Kirkus Reviews Best Children’s Book and a School Library Journal Best Book. Henkes is also the author of KITTEN’S FIRST FULL MOON.
