The music of singer-songwriter Priscilla Ahn is wistful, bittersweet, lilting, and lovely. A GOOD DAY, the artist's debut, shows Ahn's skill with plucking melodies from her acoustic guitar, and marrying them to evocative lyrics delivered in an intimate, breathy voice. Ahn's narratives detail her childhood (the album's opener, "Dream"), as well as the trials and tribulations of adulthood ("I Don't Think So"), lending a surprising depth to the overall mellow sweetness of the set. [M]ost of Ahn's songs are candlelit whispers, like the title track and 'Masters In China,' which consists of little more than sparse chords, quiet cello passages, brushed drums and Ahn's delicate voice.
