Details

Synopsis Nearly two dozen well-known writers have contributed to this collection of works inspired by the work of Joseph Cornell (1903-1972), 28 of whose famous "boxes" are represented here in color plates. The selections represent both fiction and poetry, and writers include Barry Lopez, Siri Hustvedt, Diane Ackerman, Robert Pinsky, Lydia Davis, and Joyce Carol Oates. Jonathan Safran Foer edited this unusual anthology (in which he has included a work of his own) while he was still in college.
