This double-disc set brings together two longstanding Latin music heavyweights: Norteno maestros Conjunto Primavera, and banda apostles La Banda el Recordo. The astonishingly long and successful resumes of both bands notwithstanding (Conjunto Primavera has been around since 19 78, La Banda el Recordo since 1951), 20 RANCHERAS provides plenty of CP's traditional, uptempo dance fare, and a nice cross-section of LBER's eclectic take on the banda form. The second disc, full of DVD special features, makes this an absolute must for fans of these bands.
